The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced plans to spend 20 days showcasing the education sector achievements recorded under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, disclosed this during the inauguration of the newly completed engineering infrastructure in Wuye District, Abuja, on Tuesday.
According to Wike, the 20-day exhibition will highlight the strides made in education across the FCT and demonstrate that the Tinubu administration is equally committed to social infrastructure, not just road construction.
> “The unveiling of projects executed by the Tinubu administration in the education sector will last for 20 days,” Wike said. “This will begin immediately after the President returns from a short break following the ongoing series of project inaugurations across the territory.”
The minister described the pace of project completion in the FCT as “unprecedented”, attributing the achievements to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, which prioritizes the completion of long-abandoned projects.
> “I challenge anyone to name any administration that has matched this pace of transformation since the creation of the Federal Capital Territory,” Wike declared. “This is leadership that is committed and changing lives.”
Wike revealed that most of the projects being inaugurated had been abandoned since 2009 due to lack of funding, but were revived under the current administration.
Also speaking, the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, said the completion of the Wuye engineering infrastructure project underscored the administration’s resolve to deliver projects that improve community life and restore public trust.
> “As we celebrate this achievement, let us remember that every milestone is a promise kept, and every completion is a new beginning,” Mahmoud said. “From dualised roads to new educational facilities in satellite towns, it is clear that the FCT is working again under purposeful and visionary leadership.”
The forthcoming 20-day showcase will feature the commissioning of completed schools, renovated classrooms, upgraded laboratories, and other education-related projects across the FCT’s six area councils.
