Madonna University Nigeria has appointed technology strategist Rock Adote to its Board of Trustees in a move aimed at strengthening the institution’s digital governance and technological infrastructure.
Adote brings over a decade of experience in digital transformation, enterprise identity management, and cybersecurity, expertise stakeholders believe will help the university develop more secure and efficient digital systems for academic administration and institutional operations.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, the appointment reflects the university’s commitment to technology-driven governance in higher education, particularly in areas such as data security, identity management, and the adoption of modern digital systems.
As a member of the Board of Trustees, Adote is expected to contribute to institutional oversight and policy direction, helping to guide long-term development initiatives and ensure the university remains aligned with global trends in education and technology.
Speaking on his appointment, Adote said digital transformation would play a key role in shaping the future of academic administration and learning environments.

Other newly appointed members of the Board of Trustees include Nwagwu Emeka, Arthur Okafor, Anagboso Osita, Ike Angela Unaoaku, Augustine Obo, and Stephen Nwatah.
Education analysts said Adote’s appointment underscores the university’s focus on innovation and the importance of strengthening leadership with professionals who understand the intersection of technology and institutional development.
