Description:
- We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cash Officer to oversee cash handling and financial transaction activities within Kxpress. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cash collections, reconciling financial records, monitoring daily transactions, and ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance in all cash-related operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and process daily cash collections and payments
- Maintain accurate records of all cash transactions and ensure proper documentation
- Reconcile daily cash balances against system records and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports for management review
- Monitor cash flow activities and ensure timely remittance of funds
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and accounting procedures
- Coordinate with Finance and Operations teams regarding transaction issues and reconciliations
- Process invoices, receipts, and payment documentation accurately
- Monitor and report suspicious or irregular financial activities
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and transfer of cash and financial documents
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate financial records
- Identify and recommend improvements to cash handling and reconciliation processes
Qualifications and Requirements:
Educational Qualification
- A good first degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
Professional Qualification
- Relevant accounting or financial certifications will be an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years post-NYSC experience in Cash Management, Finance, Accounting, or related roles
Age Requirement
- 25 – 40 years
Functional / Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of cash handling, reconciliation, and financial reporting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong numerical, analytical, and record-keeping skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skillsWork Location: In person
