The National Treasury of South Africa is now accepting applications for the **2026 National Treasury Bursary Scheme. The bursary is part of the Treasury’s commitment to youth empowerment and skills development in fields considered critical and scarce to the institution and the country’s economy.
The bursary is available for students who require financial support from their second year of undergraduate studies at a local accredited University or University of technology.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
Be a South African citizen.
Be registered for full-time undergraduate studies.
Have achieved an academic average of 65% or above in the most recent exams (mid-year/June 2025).
Demonstrate financial need(combined household income not exceeding **R600,000 per annum**).
Be academically strong, pursuing studies in any of the following fields:
* BCom Accounting
* BCom Economics
* Diploma in Logistics
* Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design
Bursary Benefits
The scheme covers:
* Registration fees
* Tuition fees
* Accommodation
* Prescribed textbooks
* Monthly allowance
Note: Preference will be given to high-performing students with top grades.*

* Certified copy of South African ID
* Grade 12 statement of results and certificate
* Official transcript (1st year mid-year/June 2025 results)
* Certified copies of parent(s)/guardian(s) IDs
* Proof of parent(s)/guardian(s) income (salary advice) or affidavit if unemployed
* Death certificate if parent(s) are deceased
* Affidavit if parent(s) are not part of applicant’s life
