Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has received her third plaque from Guinness World Records, officially becoming a three-time world record holder.
The latest recognition follows her historic feat in September 2025, when she prepared the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice, weighing 8,780 kilograms. The achievement also secured her the record for the largest serving of rice ever made.
Reacting to the milestone, Baci expressed gratitude to God, saying the accomplishment was not something she had meticulously planned for or felt fully prepared to undertake.
She described unboxing the record plaque as an emotional moment that brought back memories of the nerves, faith, sacrifice and prayers that accompanied the journey.
“Third time. Not because I planned it. Not because I felt ready. But because God allowed it,” she wrote.
“Unboxing this record pack felt like reliving the moment all over again — the nerves, the faith, the sacrifice, the prayers, the belief that something bigger than me was happening.
“I don’t take this lightly. I don’t get used to it. I’m just deeply grateful. Thank you to everyone who has stood by me from the very first ‘let’s try’ to this third ‘officially amazing.’”
Baci first gained global recognition in 2023 after setting a record for the longest cooking marathon, cooking continuously for 93 hours and 11 minutes — a feat that propelled her to international acclaim.
Her latest achievement further cements her place as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated culinary figures.
