At Omuo Comprehensive High School, a new e-library now stands as a reminder that alumni contributions can go beyond words.
The ₦100 million facility was donated by the 1979/80 set and unveiled during the school’s 56th Founder’s Day celebration held in Omuo-Ekiti.
The Alumni Association President, Segun Abe, said the project reflects a broader effort by old students to support the school through infrastructure, mentorship, scholarships, and partnerships that improve learning conditions.
He acknowledged other alumni sets that have also contributed projects over the years, noting that such efforts continue to shape the school’s development.
Abe also addressed current students, urging them to take their studies seriously and uphold the values of the institution.
The school’s Principal, Adeolu Ajobiewe, expressed appreciation for the donation, noting that it will enhance access to learning resources and support academic work.
In his remarks, former Ekiti State SSG and pioneer alumni president, Foluso Daramola, called on alumni members to remain consistent in supporting the school and strengthening the association.
Activities marking the Founder’s Day included career and mentorship sessions, medical outreach, meetings, election of executives, and social events.
The new e-library adds to a growing list of alumni-led projects, showing how sustained involvement can influence the direction of a school long after graduation.
