The organisers of the Let There Be Teachers Conference 2026 have intensified preparations for the upcoming event through strategic engagements with key education stakeholders in Abia State.
Leading the delegation was the Abia State Coordinator of the conference, Mr. Kiduna Amos Gotom, accompanied by the State Publicity Director, Tochukwu. The team paid courtesy visits to prominent education leaders in the state to discuss collaboration and support for teacher development initiatives.
Among those visited were the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Abia State, Hon. Goodluck Chinedu Ubochi; the Executive Chairman of the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), Lady Ezihe Lydia Onuoha; and the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Abia State Chapter, Comrade Madu Friday Chukwujekwu.
According to the conference team, the engagements focused on presenting the vision and objectives of the Let There Be Teachers movement, highlighting plans for the 2026 conference, and exploring opportunities for partnership aimed at strengthening teacher welfare, professional development, and educational transformation in the state.
The discussions also centred on the critical role of teachers in improving learning outcomes and advancing quality education across Abia State.
