The Lagos State Scholarship Board has announced that the Computer-Based Test for shortlisted applicants under the 2025/2026 Scholarship Awards will hold soon.
The Board disclosed this in a statement posted on its Facebook page on Monday, urging applicants who participated in the 2025/2026 indigene verification exercise to watch out for their CBT invitation emails.
The CBT is an important stage of the scholarship selection process and will give eligible applicants an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and aptitude.
Here are seven things applicants should know:
1. Keep tabs on your email
Applicants who participated in the 2025/2026 indigene verification exercise across Lagos State’s five divisions should regularly check their email for their official CBT invitation.
2. Take note of the details
Once you receive your invitation, carefully check the examination date, venue and other requirements communicated by the Board.
3. Understand the instructions
Before beginning the CBT, make sure you read and understand all examination instructions to avoid mistakes during the test.
4. Get to the venue early
Applicants are advised to arrive at their designated CBT venues early to avoid delays and ensure a smooth examination process.
5. Dress properly and conduct yourself well
Candidates are expected to dress appropriately and maintain orderly conduct throughout the exercise.
They should also follow all instructions given by CBT officials.
6. Keep prohibited items away
Applicants should not bring prohibited materials or electronic devices into the examination hall.
The Board also warned that examination malpractice or impersonation would lead to disqualification and possible referral to the appropriate security authorities.
7. Don’t fall for scholarship scams
Applicants should beware of fraudsters who may demand money or personal information while claiming they can help secure the scholarship.
The Board stressed that it has not authorised anyone to demand payment in exchange for participation in the CBT or the award of a scholarship.
Applicants should rely only on information from the Board’s official communication channels and avoid anyone promising to influence their selection.
