The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the release of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock test conducted on March 28.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board disclosed that candidates can check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number used during registration.
According to the board, a total of 224,597 candidates registered for the mock examination, while 152,586 successfully sat for the test across 989 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.
JAMB further revealed that more than 20 CBT centres were delisted due to technical challenges experienced during the exercise.
The board also issued a strong warning to candidates against falling victim to fraudsters, particularly individuals or groups on WhatsApp claiming they can inflate UTME scores.
“Candidates are strongly advised to beware of fraudulent individuals or groups… Such claims are false and criminal,” the statement noted, adding that any candidate found engaging in such practices risks disqualification or withdrawal of results.
The examination body reiterated that the main UTME is scheduled to commence on April 16, 2026.
JAMB had earlier acknowledged that the mock exercise was affected by technical glitches, including server failures, power outages, and delayed commencement at several CBT centres, leaving many candidates stranded for hours.
Despite the challenges, the board maintained that the mock examination remains a critical preparatory exercise for the main UTME.
