The Ogun State Government has strengthened its push for technology-driven education reform with the successful conduct of a capacity building training for teachers under the OgunLEARN initiative.
The training, held on Tuesday, 6th May 2026, at Abigi Town Hall in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area, was organised by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in collaboration with relevant education stakeholders in the zone.
The programme brought together teachers from across the area and featured the active participation of 18 OgunLEARN Ambassadors, who provided technical support, guidance, and facilitation throughout the sessions.
Participants were trained on the practical use of OgunLEARN, an artificial intelligence-powered teaching and learning platform designed to improve classroom delivery and lesson planning.
Teachers were exposed to hands-on sessions on generating curriculum-aligned lesson notes, structuring lesson plans more efficiently, and creating interactive quizzes to enhance student engagement.
The sessions were described as highly interactive, with participants demonstrating enthusiasm and readiness to adopt digital tools in their teaching practices.
The initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to improving teaching quality through innovation and expanding access to modern educational tools across public schools.
The Ministry noted that the training marks another milestone in ongoing efforts to strengthen learning outcomes and empower educators with digital competencies.
It further commended participants and stakeholders for their commitment, while expressing optimism about sustained collaboration in advancing educational excellence across Ogun State.
